The Application for Naturalization
The Form N-400 can be downloaded and printed 'for free' from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services page:

                            http://www.uscis.gov

Once you or someone else fills the form, remember to keep a copy for your records, attach the fee of $675 (money order or check) and enclose the supporting documents.

Make sure that you qualify, and never pay money to fill the application unless you get proper certification from the paralegal, notary or attorney.  They can only charge you a nominal fee to fill the form.  Make sure your address is in the paperwork so the government will contact you in case they need further details.

All the information can be found at the USCIS page above.  That's the only official page, and we base our DVD  for the New Test and all notes of this page from that site.

                    A GREAT INITIATIVE

On February 18th, 2010, our Immigration authorities gave a Naturalization Seminar open to the community of Reno and Sparks.  Step by step they showed the complete process.  They even had a 'mock' of the Naturalization interview.  One of the officers talked on how to avoid Immigration Fraud, a topic that seems to be very common, especially targeting Hispanics.
